This anthology issue contains at least two crime stories. The first story involves a criminal gang led by a man named Mack who plots to kidnap a former baseball player named Ted Keever, the new manager of the Metropoles, planning to either break his leg or kill him to collect ransom money; the gang executes their plan but faces interference from law enforcement. The second story features Roy Spark, a private detective, investigating a murder case involving a man named Mr. Diamond, who is killed in a fire; Spark works to identify the murderer and bring the guilty party to justice.
