Ken Maynard becomes entangled in a scheme involving stolen bank loot when he is framed by outlaw Crocker and his gang, who plant part of the stolen money in his room to incriminate him. After being arrested and jailed, Maynard escapes and teams with his ally Gomez to hunt for the remaining treasure, following a map that leads them to a landmark called the Stone Face. Ken must evade both the law and Crocker's gang while pursuing the outlaws to Diablo Canyon in search of the hidden treasure.
