Caleb's gang shoot Kid Colt and the pursuing posse assume Colt was a member of the gang who fell out with them. Colt flees to Midnight Mountain where he finds the three robbers have disguised themselves as ghosts to scare people away. As they struggle, something suddenly throws Caleb off the mountain and frightens the other two to death. Colt wonders if there really was a ghost.
