Kid Colt runs into the Scorpion, who frightens people with his power to strike things by pointing at them. The duo are caught by a posse but Scorpion breaks out and tries to force Colt to join his gang. Colt refuses, escapes and learns from newspapers how Scorpion created a silent derringer. Colt defeats Scorpion in hand-to-hand combat and reveals his trick to the world.
