In the aftermath of a fiery explosion, a man calling himself The Unknown rises from the ashes, claiming to be the reborn identity of the late gangster Dude Rich, now using a new face crafted by the mysterious Dr. Wan. Kid Eternity and his partner Mr. Keeper investigate a series of crimes tied to this new criminal, only to uncover a deeper mystery involving identity, betrayal, and a ghost from the past.

In a humorous twist, a woman named Mrs. Lucius Q. Padwell is convinced by a fake spiritualist, Professor Foresyte (posing as her late husband), that she must donate to a charity called COFUP. Meanwhile, the real Jasper Dewgood arrives, claiming to be the charity’s representative, leading to a comedic clash between the impostor and the genuine philanthropist.

In "The Hole in the Sky," Kid Eternity pursues a swarm of green bat-winged invaders through a rift in the sky, chasing them to their alien origin—only to find their world unprepared for the might of a British tank. What begins as a desperate defense turns into an unexpected clash of civilizations, leaving the fate of the invaders—and the rift—hanging in the balance.
