Klaus: The Life & Times of Santa Claus #[nn]
In "Klaus and the Crying Snowman," Grant Morrison and Dan Mora deliver a poignant tale where Klaus, ever the guardian of winter’s spirit, faces the Nightborn’s cyclical return. When a snowman named Sam—haunted by fragmented memories of a life cut short—begs for one final chance to make things right, Klaus grants him a second chance at redemption, offering a single day to reunite with his family. Dan Mora’s lush, expressive art and evocative coloring bring warmth to the icy heart of this story, all under the striking cover he created.

Klaus and his allies defend earth from the Nightborn, who return on a comet every 1500 years. Klaus ends the endless periodic war by simply sharing the warmth and light of the sun, for them to carry with them into deep space. Sam the snowman has dim memories of having been a real man, and having betrayed his family before being killed on an icy road. Klaus, who has had to turn time back in order to deal with the Nightborn, gives Sam his last day over again, to return home safely and reunite with his family.
