"Knockout" #372 is an anthology comic featuring two main stories. "Deed-a-Day Danny" depicts a boy named Danny tasked with performing a good deed quickly, leading to comedic chaos involving his father's laundry and various mishaps with a wig shop and scouting activities. The larger serial story follows Billy, a railway worker's son, who becomes entangled in a mystery involving a diamond necklace, a railway diddler named Jack the Jewel Snatcher, and a police officer named Burrns, culminating in Billy's efforts to recover stolen goods and clear his name. A second serial installment features characters Sexton Blake, Tinker, and Dhulap pursuing criminals through jungle terrain with elephants in pursuit, involving a portable transmitter and encounters with tigers.
