"Deed-a-Day Danny" features a boy who undertakes a good deed by finding a larger basket of apples for a farmer, leading to humorous complications when bees swarm and Danny and his friends become targets of the insects. In a separate story, Billy the Kid encounters crooks who have hidden stolen grub in a safe, and after various misadventures involving the food and a cop, Billy ultimately receives praise and a reward for his heroic actions. Another story follows Sexton Blake as his plane encounters an out-of-control Atom Egg machine launched from the Hidden City, forcing Blake and his companions to battle the device mid-air before it explodes.
