Knockout Comic #462 is an anthology featuring multiple stories: "Daffy the Cowboy Tec" follows the titular character as he attempts to catch rustlers by disguising himself as a sheep; "Tough Tod and Happy Annie: The Runaway Orphans" depicts two children joining a theatrical production after escaping mistreatment by a cruel caretaker named Stiggins, eventually becoming part of a pantomime performance; "Nick and Nan and Stainless Stan" involves Dr. Dell and his two children on a treasure hunt in the Incas, meeting the native chief Chaquai who helps them navigate jungle dangers and avoid the villainous Dandor; and "The Magic Apple" recounts Guy and Una's adventure with an enchanted apple that grants them magical aid as they flee from the Baron Jasper's men through a fantastical landscape.
