In "The Land of the Frozen Giants," Konga—fleeing the aftermath of a nuclear strike and disillusioned by humanity—drifts southward through New Guinea and Australia before crashing ashore in Antarctica. Buried beneath ice, he awakens in a hidden underground world where prehistoric dinosaurs still roam, and must fight off a fierce assault by a T. rex, a Triceratops, and a Pteranodon before escaping back into the open.
In this educational tale set at the dawn of time, early man faces a world of towering predators and relentless dangers—slower than sabertooths, weaker than mammoths, seemingly doomed to extinction like so many other species. Yet through crude ingenuity and the ability to adapt, he discovers fire, builds shelter, crafts tools with his opposable thumb, and learns to control his environment in ways that give him an edge against the hostile creatures surrounding him. This is the story of how mankind's greatest weapon—not strength or speed, but thinking and flexibility—allowed him to survive where stronger beasts did not.
When a French medical doctor arrives in the jungle to treat a seemingly dying patient, Joseph Kshinga, he clashes with Nkruma, the witch doctor of the Wasabi tribe, who is performing his own mysterious ritual to save the boy's life. As modern medicine and traditional practice collide, the doctor must witness an unconventional cure unfold in a world governed by laws he doesn't understand.
