La Peau de l'ours #2

The second volume of La Peau de l'ours from Dargaud arrives with a cover image that is hard to look away from — a wide-eyed figure, mouth agape, staring down the barrel of a pistol pressed directly against his open lips, rendered in deep, unsettling reds and greens. Oriol and Zidrou bring an almost painterly intensity to this image, making the tension feel visceral before you've even opened the book. If the first volume left you hungry for more of this dark, atmospheric series, 2020's second installment makes a very compelling visual case for itself.
