Davy Mourier's charming macabre series continues with this third volume from Delcourt, its stark black cover framing a golden ornamental medallion that brings together three endearing skull-faced characters — a red-haired figure, a bespectacled one, and a smaller, squarish little skeleton nestled between them. The stylized simplicity of Mourier's design work gives these unlikely figures a genuine warmth, making death feel surprisingly cozy. If the first two volumes won you over, this 2015 installment looks every bit as inviting.
