Mechanika has tracked down a so-called "demon," which turns out to be a mechanical creature like her. He claims to remember her and that his master made her, but before he can divulge anything else, he is shot and killed by another hunting party. Mechanika confronts them and meets Lord Blackpool, who kills the man who killed the demon. Blackpool offers a deal with Mechanika to allow him to see how she is made. She attacks him and his men and defeats them, warning Blackpool to stay away from her.
