This anthology issue contains two stories: "Puma on the Prowl," in which a boy named Tom befriends a wild puma while Lash LaRue, a marshal passing through, helps protect the animal from a homesteader named Bart Loomis who hates it. "Killer Loose" features Lash LaRue working to capture the escaped prisoner Cato, who was being held in a frontier town jail; after retrieving a key from Cato's bracelet, Lash pursues the fugitive. The issue also includes a backup story "The Scorpion's Nest" featuring the character Lawman Hater.
