This anthology issue contains two Lash LaRue stories. The first, depicted in comic form, features Lash in a haul-wagon race where he must stop a dangerous criminal after being laid flat on his stomach beneath the wagon's seat. The second story, "Dawn Deadline," is presented in prose and involves Sheriff Noha Clark receiving mysterious printed warnings from the Prince Albert Kid, who seeks revenge for his brother's death and threatens to kill the sheriff by dawn. The Prince Albert Kid delivers a warning that whoever kills the sheriff will die by his guns, adding to the tension surrounding the deadline threat.
