Benoît Feroumont's Le Royaume returns with its sixth volume, Saperlipopette, and the cover sets a wonderfully chaotic tone — a wide-eyed blonde girl in a red-and-white dress goes tumbling through what looks like a tavern, sending a mug of liquid flying while a blue cat, golden birds, and a crowd of bewildered onlookers swirl around her. Dupuis continues to bring Feroumont's warm, storybook illustration style to life here, with character expressions that are equal parts alarmed and delighted. If you've been following this charming series, this 2014 entry looks like another delightful plunge into its whimsical world.
