Jan 2012 · First Second · 18.99 USD; 21.99 CAD

In this pivotal issue of *Legends of Zita the Spacegirl*, Zita pilots a colossal machine to defend Lumponia from the relentless Star Hearts, but the true cost of its power is revealed when Piper discovers the giant consumes its operator. As the planet faces annihilation, Robot Zita makes a selfless choice—stepping in to take Zita’s place, proving that heroism isn’t defined by who you are, but by what you’re willing to sacrifice. Written and illustrated by Ben Hatke, with coloring by Kean Soo, Tory Woolcott, Anthony VanArsdale, Stephanie Yue, and Rosie Schmiedicke, the story reaches a heart-pounding climax where courage and loss are measured in the quietest of acts.
