This opening volume from Morvan, Evrard, and Ben BK introduces Les Amis de Spirou with a cover full of youthful defiance — a tight-knit group of kids, pennant and scroll in hand, stand together against a wartime backdrop plastered with a crossed-out symbol and the rallying words "Résistants, partout, toujours!" A shaggy dog rounds out the crew, and a propaganda poster bearing the slogan "Rex vaincra!" looms on the wall behind them.
