Les Chevaux du vent #2
The second and concluding part of Les Chevaux du vent arrives from Dupuis' Aire Libre imprint with a cover that immediately commands attention: a lone figure, dwarfed by a massive cliff face, picks their way across ancient stone steps while a sprawling Himalayan monastery clings impossibly to the rock above, rendered in luminous golds and purples by Fournier and Lax. Scattered pages drift across the steps around the solitary traveler, lending the scene an air of quiet mystery against a pale mountain peak rising in the distance. This 2012 album is a visually meditative journey that promises both grand landscape and intimate human scale in equal measure.
