A wonderful 2016 celebration of the beloved French comics institution, this fifth anthology volume gathers the finest stories from Pilote & Charlie's 1982–1989 era. The cover sets a festive tone immediately: a towering, elaborately decorated cake overflows with a riotous crowd of cartoon faces and characters, while a caped, blue-and-white-clad superheroine leaps triumphantly from the top with a cheerful "Hop!" It's a warm, joyfully chaotic tribute to the remarkable diversity of talent and storytelling that defined that defining decade of French bande dessinée.
