Les Teigneux #2

The third volume of Chanoikat & Castaza's Les Teigneux series from Soleil delivers its signature blend of crime and dark comedy, subtitled Rock 'n' Roll Biniou. The cover sets the tone perfectly: three hooded figures brandishing a shotgun, a pitchfork, and a flaming torch surround a bewildered little creature clutching a money bag, all framed against a vintage car — while a cast of sharply rendered characters looms in the background. It's a wonderfully absurd image that captures the series' knack for mixing menace with a wink.
