This issue of Lion is an anthology featuring several stories. The lead story, "The Secret Tunnellers of Calitz Camp," follows Dirk and Hal as they attempt to expose a gang of traitors at a moated manor, with the help of Rope and Grappel, ultimately uncovering the traitors Simon De'Ath and the Iron Mask. "Captain Condor: Space-Man of the Unknown Moon" by Frank S. Pepper depicts Captain Condor's harrowing escape from a Zorian rebel's flying machine after discovering radio-active fuel on an uncharted moon, launching himself through the air with the aid of a catapult. "Jingo Jones and His Invisibiliser" by Tom Stirling recounts Jingo's adventure at a cricket match where his invisibility device allows him to retrieve missing grandstand tickets from a gatekeeper's rug. The issue also includes a "World-Wide Quiz" feature with various trivia questions for readers.

The Case of the Naval Spy
