Little Bit, a new kid in town, tries to make friends by joining a baseball game, only to accidentally disrupt it with his unorthodox umpiring. When the other boys try to prank him with a fake policeman and a dog, Little Bit outsmarts them all, turning their tricks into a clever solution that earns him their respect.

Little Bit and his dog Hawkshaw try their hand at caddying, stumbling into a series of comical misadventures at a golf course where their small size and unusual partnership draw laughs—and skepticism—from the other players. A young boy and his friend arrive at a television show with only two cents between them, hoping to get in. After a brief exchange about cheaper seats, the boy’s friend offers to find a solution, leading them to balcony seats for a penny each.

Little Bit enters the local soap box derby with his makeshift car, drawing laughter from other kids and even Mr. Schmitt and Paul Smith. After getting advice from Firechief Hogan, who secretly rigs Little Bit’s car with a surprise, the young racer speeds to victory in a surprising finish that leaves everyone stunned.
