Little Eva #7

Little Eva stumbles upon the boys’ clubhouse, only to find it transformed into a floral, curtained sanctuary after their prank. The boys, pretending it’s a war zone, enlist a stray poodle as a watchdog to keep her out—only to panic when they return and discover she’s been there again, with the dog seemingly having eaten her.

Little Eva and Nipper try to test their new furniture polish on various people’s belongings, only to be turned away by everyone—including Mr. Everett, who has no furniture to spare. After sneaking into a moving van carrying Mrs. Smith’s belongings, they attempt to use the sticky polish on a broken chair, only to accidentally get stuck to it when the glue-like substance sets.

Little Eva, still buzzing from her birthday cake, drifts into a vivid dream where she imagines herself a queen ruling a whimsical kingdom with her dog Spots as her steed. In her dream, she explores fantastical places like a chocolate soda river and a forbidden slide, only to be whisked back to her room when her dream magic falters. She wakes up with a start, still eager to return to her dream world—but not before grabbing one more slice of cake.

Little Eva tries to keep her yard tidy after her dog Scraps repeatedly digs up bones, determined to teach him that "everything has its proper place." After a day of cleaning, she rewards Scraps with a hamburger—only to discover his latest bone burial spot might not be quite as buried as she thought.

Little Eva finds a four-leaf clover and dreams of all the good luck it might bring, from treasure to trips around the world—only to lose it and wonder if luck is just a myth.

Little Eva tries to complete her daily good turn by helping a dog, a stranded man, and even a police officer—only to accidentally aid a wanted criminal, leaving her convinced she can’t do anything right. When she finally realizes her cry woke her mother from a night shift, she finds pride in a small, unexpected act of kindness.
