“Today Earth Died!”

In "Today Earth Died!", Jim Steranko delivers a chilling sci-fi thriller with a dreamlike dread, as Fury’s quiet moment in his office shatters with a call about a UFO in mid-town Manhattan. When an alien named Vaengr arrives with a mysterious Prism of Miracles, his offer of peace quickly unravels into horror as the truth behind his arrival begins to surface. With Steranko handling writing, art, and coloring, and Joe Sinnott’s inks adding depth to the unsettling visuals, this 1991 issue—featuring a striking cover by Michael Golden—blurs the line between nightmare and reality in a story that lingers long after the final page.
