Estela Plateada llega a la isla de Rurutú en el Pacífico Sur, donde descubre una pieza del Ojo del Mal oculta en un volcán. Antes de poder escapar, el Quinjet de Los Vengadores aterriza: La Visión y la Bruja Escarlata llegan con intenciones ocultas. In "Capítulo 3: El Mensaje," the Defensores—La Masa, Namor, Ojo de Halcón, Caballero Negro, Dr. Extraño, Valkiria, and Estela Plateada—gather at the Sanctum Sanctorum to harness the power of the Ojo de Agamotto in a desperate bid to restore the stone statue of the Caballero Negro. But as their efforts unfold, Dormammu and Loki intervene, twisting their mission by feeding them a dangerous deception: that only by collecting the six fragments of the Ojo del Mal can they break the curse.
