Mandy joins the Martelles, a dancing troupe that is booked to tour with a famous pop star. As the dancers begin their preparations, Mandy finds herself growing attracted to him despite the fact that her new boyfriend is a member of the star's group. Mandy and the pop star start meeting secretly and he soon asks her to marry him. After the tour he goes off to star in his first movie, but newspaper reports about his relationship with his co-star, then interference from her resentful ex-boyfriend (secretly the star's brother) eventually cause her to break off their engagement.
