Songwriting partners Jennifer and Barry are in love, then Jennifer falls for Gordon. Barry, rushing to show Jennifer they’ve sold a song, is hit by a car and his face is “mangled…!” The doctor says Barry only lives because of his love for Jennifer. Jennifer weds Barry, but he blames Jennifer for his scars and asks for a divorce. Jennifer and Gordon reconcile but break up when she realises they’re too different. Tod, Jennifer's brother who was also scarred in an accident, reunites Jennifer and Barry. Tod and Barry get plastic surgery on their faces, so everyone is happy.
