Agent Flip tells aspiring actress Babs she can get a role playing former star Cleo Kane if she recreates Kane’s madcap antics. Cleo’s nephew Jerry tells Babs that his aunt was forced to act foolishly, when she could have been a serious actress. Babs decides to back out of the publicity campaign, but learns Jerry is planning a rival movie about his aunt. However, Jerry proves this was a falsehood planted in newspapers by Flip to convince Babs to follow his plan. Jerry and Babs fall in love.
