Love Diary #11
In "His Eyes Told Me," Sally grapples with doubt after hearing her neighbor Stan praise his late wife to their son Denny—words that make her wonder if she can ever truly be loved in the same way. Written by Joe Gill and brought to life with expressive art by Vince Colletta and lettering by Jon D'Agostino, this poignant 1960 Charlton tale explores the quiet weight of memory and the fragile hope of new love. The cover, a striking collaboration by Joe Sinnott and Vince Colletta, captures the emotional tension with a single, telling glance.
