Betty and Stanley fall in love. Betty’s newlywed sister Ellen confesses that she’s pregnant and afraid of giving birth. Ellen dies in childbirth. Betty agrees to marry Stanley. However, when Stanley is ready to begin a family, Betty refuses to consider having a child. One day, a man and his pregnant wife ask Betty for assistance because his car broke down on the way to the hospital. Betty helps successfully deliver the baby. Afterwards, she tells Stanley she’s not afraid anymore. They soon have a child of their own.
