Hospital patient Lucy falls in love with her doctor, Martin, and he feels the same way. However, he’s serious and she’s “the gay, fun loving type.” Hospital worker Jane suggests Lucy become more serious herself, so Lucy asks Martin if he’s thought about going into private practice to make more money. This turns Martin off and Lucy discovers Jane deliberately sabotaged their romance by giving her bad advice. Jane and Martin become engaged. When Lucy later bumps into Martin on an emergency call, he tells her that he dumped Jane and really loves her.
