Ina’s boyfriend Tim wants her to quit working for broker Winthrop, whom he considers a wolf. They break up when she refuses. Winthrop asks her to pose as his fiancee to make his ex-girlfriend Carma jealous. Tim asks Ina to come to work in his office so she submits her resignation to Winthrop. When Winthrop and Carma flee with client funds, Ina is accused of complicity and her reputation suffers. Reporter Nick says Tim is going to be fired as a result so Ina breaks her engagement to him. Winthrop is caught and clears Ina: she and Tim reconcile.
