Nora’s mother dies accidentally, but gossips suggest her father is guilty of murder. They move to a small town to avoid scandal and Nora gets a teaching job. Randy arrives with a film crew, planning to use the school in a movie. He and Nora fall in love. Randy wants Nora to take a role but she refuses, not wanting her identity revealed, but finally agrees because her student David will also have a part. Nora rescues David from a fire that gets out of control on the set. The townspeople reveal that they know who Nora and her father are, but they don’t care. Nora will marry Randy.
