M-G-M's Lassie #2
In "Lassie Keeps a Trust," the beloved dog once again proves her loyalty when a daring theft and a shocking abduction frame her young friends—Rocky, Ben, and Gerry—for a crime they didn’t commit. With the Old Gentleman in search of answers and the boys spirited away aboard Rocky’s sloop, the Sea Gull, Lassie’s instincts and courage take center stage. Written by Gaylord Du Bois and illustrated with crisp, expressive art, this 1951 Dell adventure delivers suspense and heart, culminating in a moment that leaves even the most skeptical stunned—Lassie speaks: Yarp! The cover, by Morris Gollub, captures the story’s tension in bold, dynamic lines.
