Malefosse #2

The second volume of Glénat's Malefosse series, subtitled Le Mont Perdu, opens on a striking image: a solitary young figure stands amid a stark, snow-covered landscape, his back turned and head bowed, a bloodied sword trailing crimson against the white ground below. The atmosphere is brooding and melancholy, perfectly setting the tone for this French historical adventure series by Dermaut and Gelot. If the first volume drew you in, this 2009 installment promises to push its protagonist into darker, more desolate territory.
