Nathan informs Glenys that Rupert has been injured. She visits him in the hospital and Rupert tells Nathan to put his engagement ring on her finger so he will know she is really his. Trying to keep their original wedding date is giving him the will to live so Nathan takes Glenys to get her wedding dress. Glenys tells Nathan that she can't go through with it, but Nathan tells her that he will see her marry Rupert if it is the last thing he does.
