Marvel #24
In "Les survivants," the fate of the X-Men hangs in the balance when Kitty and Colossus are abducted on their first date—along with the entire team—by Hydra and the vengeful Baron Strucker, seeking retribution for Xavier’s past interference. With the X-Men gone and the threat escalating, Alpha Flight must step in, unaware that Cody’s recent sale of Mac’s power suit design to fund their program has unknowingly armed their enemies. Written by Ben Raab and John Cassaday, with art by Cassaday and colors by Jason Wright, this 1999 issue delivers high-stakes tension and a mission that tests loyalty and courage. The cover, by Jung Choi, captures the moment’s urgency with striking precision.
