“Our World Enslaved”

In "Our World Enslaved," Magneto’s Atlantean forces seize New York, holding Sue Storm and Lady Dorma hostage as he demands allegiance from Namor and the Fantastic Four. Stan Lee’s gripping tale, illustrated with bold precision by John Romita and inked by John Verpoorten, sees the heroes fight back with a brilliant device crafted by Mr. Fantastic—turning Magneto’s power against him. The cover, by Romita and Verpoorten, captures the moment of tension as Namor and his people retreat, leaving the surface world in fragile peace.

At the helm of the Atlantean army, Magneto finally conquers New York City. Holding Sue and Lady Dorma as hostages, Magneto tries to force Namor and the Fantastic Four into swearing an oath of allegiance to him. Instead, the heroes counter with a weapon built by Mr. Fantastic that is able to turn Magneto's own powers against him. Prince Namor and his army return home, and there is once again an uneasy truce between Atlantis and the surface world.
