Marvel Tales #126
In "Even If I Live... I Die!", Peter Parker faces his darkest hour when the Jackal captures Ned and reveals a twisted origin rooted in grief and obsession. Written by Gerry Conway and brought to life by Ross Andru’s dynamic art and Mike Esposito’s sharp inks, this 1981 classic pits Spider-Man against a clone of himself, forcing him to confront the cost of obsession. The haunting cover by Gil Kane and Frank Giacoia captures the emotional weight of a story where loss, memory, and identity collide.
