Marvel Tales #154
In "Duel With Daredevil," the Circus of Crime sets a trap by advertising Spider-Man’s appearance to lure him into their big top—only to hypnotize the crowd with the Ringmaster’s hat. But when Spider-Man arrives, he’s just one of many under the spell, while Daredevil, immune to the mind control, finds himself the only one awake to stop the heist. Written by Stan Lee and brought to life with sharp, dynamic art by Steve Ditko—both pencils and inks—this 1983 Marvel Tales issue delivers a tense, clever showdown with a classic twist. The cover, also by Ditko, captures the circus’s eerie allure in bold, striking lines.
