This seventh volume of Marzi, subtitled Nouvelle vague, opens with a quietly joyful cover scene: two young girls relax together on a bus or train seat, laughing and at ease, while a boy leans in from behind — all three framed against a sun-washed coastal view of sea, beach, and gliding seagulls. Sylvain Savoia and Marzena Sowa's series continues to find warmth and humanity in small, everyday moments, and this 2017 Dupuis release looks like a perfect summer companion for fans of the series.
