Master of Kung Fu #53
In "Weapon of the Soul," Shang-Chi faces a deadly new threat when small-time criminal Demmy Marston hires the ruthless samurai Korain, a former ally of Fu Manchu, to capture him. As the battle unfolds, Korain's body begins to fail under the strain of Fu Manchu's elixir, and the conflict takes a tragic turn when Marston's girlfriend Diana is fatally wounded by Korain's blade. Written by Gerry Conway and Doug Moench, with dynamic artwork by Paul Gulacy and inks by Al Milgrom, this issue blends intense action with emotional weight, all rendered in vivid color by George Roussos and sharp lettering by Dave Hunt. The cover, by Ernie Chan, captures the tension of the moment with striking precision.
