MAX Magazine #35/2022

Aug 2022 · MAX Mediaproducties
About this Issue

MAX Magazine #35/2022 is an issue of the weekly Dutch TV-guide magazine published by MAX Mediaproducties, the print arm of Omroep MAX, the Netherlands' broadcaster aimed at the 50-plus audience. The Bartels characters (Eddie, Geke, and Herman) indexed in this issue represent the first catalogued appearances of that family in the collector database, making this the anchor issue for any future character-tracing work. Because MAX Magazine carries serialised comic strips embedded within a mainstream, non-specialist periodical reaching a very wide Dutch readership, character debuts in its pages are rarely flagged by the English-language key-issue community and thus tend to be underdocumented relative to their actual audience reach.
