Jenny finds a bottle on the beach with a note inside. The note is written in Japanese, so Jenny asks her Aunt Laura, who previously taught in Japan, to translate. The note is ten years old, and asks the finder of the note to find him in Tokyo, no matter how long it takes. After six years of learning Japanese, Jenny travels to Tokyo and finds that Minoru Ishida, the writer of the note, has become a famous recording artist, model, and actor. They meet, but Jenny hesitates to tell him about the note.
