The pixies trick the group into boarding a wagon, which carries them across a canyon to a mysterious tribe; the Mighty Atom must use his strength to help the children escape the pixies' schemes and return home safely. Along the way, the Mighty Atom demonstrates his powers by squeezing grapes into juice and otherwise outwitting the magical creatures, ultimately thwarting the pixies' plans.
When a pair of mischievous insects trick the Mighty Atom into believing a fire is raging across Pixery, he rushes to save the day—only to discover the alarm was a ruse. While the Mighty Atom is away, the culprits attempt to rob Polly Pixie’s home, but she and the other pixies send a desperate message using a typewriter on Pixery Hill. The Mighty Atom returns in time to foil the scheme and teach the villains a lesson, then returns to his normal size.
When Milt Mole threatens to undermine all of Pixerary, a band of brave pixies led by Pete rallies to defend their home, only to find themselves trapped underground after Milt steals their friends. The Mighty Atom arrives in a flash of lightning to guide them through the maze, using clever traps and teamwork to outwit the mole and save the day.
When a trickster sparrow lures three young pixies to Birdland under false pretenses, the worried Aunt Polly summons Pete Pixie, who transforms into the mighty Mighty Atom to rescue them. Facing off against a powerful mechanical monster that traps the hero in a swirling air current, the Mighty Atom must rely on a secret code and a clever reversal to turn the tide.
Old Smokey recounts a daring frontier adventure where he outwits a group of hostile Indians by disguising himself as one of them, leading to a clever escape that saves the wagon train. As he spins the tale to a curious boy named Rusty, the story unfolds with quick thinking, a splash of humor, and a dramatic escape involving a fake woman’s shawl and a ruse with a captured wagon.
In "Shoot the Works," Ferdy Firebug attempts to destroy Pixerary with a cache of explosives, but the Mighty Atom intervenes to save the day. With quick thinking and a makeshift propeller made from an egg beater, the hero races to neutralize the threat before the fireworks detonate. The story follows the frantic effort to protect the pixies, culminating in a dramatic rescue and a surprising twist involving Ferdy Firebug and a mysterious glass fragment.
