Mickey is pressured by Minnie into portraying a girl for a school play. On his way to the auditorium, his car has a flat tire which is fixed by a man who is actually a crook. He and his partner plan to swindle the Beeler heirs out of their inheritance by taking their place before the attorney arrives. Unfortunately, they need a female to portray Mrs. Beeler, and that's where Mickey fits into their scheme. Not realizing that he is actually a male, they force the mouse to play the part of Mr. Beeler's wife, but the enterprising Mickey soon spoils their crooked plans.
