# Monkeyshines Comics #22 The issue features two main stories involving animal characters. In one story, crows attempt to sell themselves to a zoo, eventually convincing the zoo keeper to purchase them for ten dollars, after which they become attractions drawing crowds. In another story, two mice have a nightmare-fueled encounter with a red devil character and later hide under bedcovers before being discovered, then visit a doctor for their ailments. A third sequence depicts mice in a barn setting debating their circumstances—arguing about being lazy rats versus working farm animals who must earn their keep by providing milk or wool like other creatures.
