This issue contains humorous short stories featuring the character Mopsy. "Gladys Parker" follows a woman caught in rainy weather who struggles comically with her coat and encounters with a man in a yellow suit, eventually ending up in a puddle. "Private Thistlewait" depicts a military cook who finally achieves his dream of being "the first man on the chow line," only to be hit by a frying pan, after which he imagines himself as a decorated war hero. A Mopsy story shows the character attempting to save money at First National Bank, but her efforts are repeatedly thwarted as she loses her purse and gets caught in heavy rain on her way to open an account.
