# Movie Love #14 This issue features a story about Lina, an ambitious actress who becomes entangled in a love triangle. Lucy leaves her fiancé Tom on Staten Island Ferry to pursue an acting career in New York, claiming she needs a husband she can respect and a man with a job. Mark proposes to Lucy at her office the next day, but she declines, fearing commitment will derail her ambitions. At a Hollywood party hosted by producer R.F. Simpson, Lucy encounters the famous actress Kathy Selden, who is impressed by Lucy's talent and arranges for her to perform in a film alongside established stars Lockwood and Lamont. The story concludes with the successful premiere of the talking picture at the Egyptian Theater, where Lamont praises Lucy's performance and reveals she will continue doubling for him in future productions.
